ESSGN 2026 Presentation in Bologna

May 24, 2026

On Friday 22 May, I presented my research at the European Social Science Genetics Conference (ESSGN) 2026 in Bologna, Italy.

I presented ongoing work titled “Developmental Dynamics of Direct and Indirect Genetic Effects on Sleep Duration”, focusing on developmental and intergenerational influences on sleep across childhood and adolescence.

ESSGN was a great opportunity to discuss new ideas and connect with researchers working across family-based genetic designs, genomics, and population health. I am grateful to the organizers and attendees for the inspiring discussions and welcoming atmosphere in Bologna.

PhD Diploma Milesone

February 27, 2026

On January 30 (2026), I was proud to officially receive my PhD diploma at the University of Bergen’s Doctorate Conferment Ceremony.

The ceremony was the official end of my doctoral journey and a public recognition of my dissertation. Standing in the Aula with other doctoral candidates felt humbling and meaningful. It was a chance to look back on years of research, teamwork, challenges, and growth.

I am very grateful to my supervisors, collaborators, friends, and family for their support throughout this journey. Earning a PhD is never something you do alone.
